“Have the positive attitude, character, and work ethic that inspires and elevates others around you.”
This quote from Ty Howard really applies to all areas of life…
But I’m thinking when he wrote it, he had work-life in mind.
Whether we like to admit to ourselves or not, we spend a good majority of our week on the hustle. In fact, Americans were reported to work the longest hours out of all the top-ranked economies in the world.
It’s become an accepted part of life that won’t be changing anytime soon. What IS in our power to change is the effect that time at work has on attitude, outlook, and overall happiness—for both ourselves, and others.
With many nonprofit cultures lacking adequate resources and manpower, it can make this even more challenging. But remember: Positivity in the workplace is contagious. You’re going to be there regardless, it’s up to you how fulfilling and uplifting you make it.
Try integrating some of these ideas and practices around the office and see what kind of powerful impact it can make!
